Hi CC,
There is shopping at all those ports, but I'm sure you'll find what the kids are looking for in St. Thomas, right by the pier. They have most of the shops that they have downtown, but closer to the pier. You will also find things in downtown Nassau and St. Maarten is also good shopping, so you should have no problems.

Have fun!

It has been a few years but some inexpensive ideas that come to mind:
Local street vendors (and sometimes on the beach) sell necklaces, wrist & ankle bracelets that are made from shells and come in many colors. Now days these items are good for a guy or gal. In St. Thomas there is a specialty shop downtown that sells items that turn color in the sun. For a girl a bottle of nail polish in one color changes in the sun to another color. Very unique. Another unique item is the differnet coin currency from each port.
It is also helpful to prepare address label stickers with the friends names on them to easliy apply to post cards. We found it extra special to affix postage while in port and have them mailed directly from that port. Often we found a post office, although I imagine a hotel front desk could mail them out.

Do you remember the name of the store in St. Thomas? My kids would love items that change color.
Thanks.

Default Store is Del Sol Re: Re: inexpensive souveniers ??

I recall the sun reacting products being purchased at Del Sol - in downtown
St. Thomas. I believe it was a featured retailer on the shopping map provided at shopping talk. It used to be on the Waterfront Drive (between Drake's passage and Raadets Gade streets.) When researching St. Thomas found this article that it may now be housed in "Grand Galleria -what used to be called The Grand Hotel" article link:

St. Thomas has a nice gift shop by the pier at the Havensight Mall. Sorry I can't remember the name.

This is a nice mall with many jewelry and other shops in case you don't want to go downtown.

Yes I agree DelSol is probably a nice gift, very unique for kids.
