Will stores be open at 5 pm in San Juan

Our ship will be docking at San Juan at 5 pm this coming September and will all the stores near the cruise ships dock be open at that time of day. Also, what type of stores are near the cruise ships dock area.

I don't care for the later hours in this great port, but, the last time we were there, we did a tour, shopped a bit afterward...the stores closed around 8:30 or so.
