Default Catalina Islan / Altos De Chavon

Has anyone been there? What is the tour like?

We'll be on the Mercury and this sounded like a good way to see some of the interrior of the D.H. without missing the ship.

Altos de Chavon was built in the 1960s and is a recreation of a 16th century Spanish village. I haven't been there, but I'm told it's rather charming, though there's not a whole lot to see. It's now basically an artist's village with some shops and galleries. There's a church you can tour and an archaeology museum. Casa de Campo, a well-known resort, is nearby.
