Default EXCURSION RESERVATIONS

I have read that we should reserve our shore excursions the first day on the ship because some of them book up. I have looked at the Port Promotions website but am not comfortable with booking them through the internet. Do I reserve with a credit card? Two teenage daughters and only really plan on doing snorkeling and maybe dolphin encounter. Is the glass bottom boat tour at Nassau worth the money? Any other great recommendations for shore excusions for teenagers would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi Laura,
What ship and cruiseline are you cruising on? You can pre-book on Princess and now on RCCL. Yes, the good excersions do fill up fast, so if there is something you really want, its best to do it ASAP and if you can do it online through the cruiseline, all the better. We did pre-book on our last Princess cruise and were able to get what we wanted, when we wanted and the tickets were sitting on the desk when we first entered the cabin, great policy. I plan on doing this as well on our next RCCL cruise, but so far the web-site says I have to wait until April, cruising on 4-21, which I will do as soon as April arrives.

As for the dolphin swim in Nassau, its best to book that also on-line or by phone as soon as you can, that I know fills up fast, its pricey, but I bet the teens your are cruising with will love that. Here is the link to that info:

You may want to take a taxi over to Paradise Island while in Nassau and take a look at Atlantis, hear its something to see, enjoy the cruise.

Thanks for the info on the excursions. We are traveling 4/1-4/8 on RCCL Enchantment of the Seas. How do you pre-book? Through the cruise line or do you recommend that port promotions site? It's hard to believe we are a week away. We can't wait! Thanks again--your advice has been great.

Hi Laura,
Try this link, should take you to where you can pre-book. I too will be trying it in a few weeks, so I hope it works. Since it would not let me book, I would assume you'd need a credit card to secure the booking, but not sure, it also may just go on your sign and sail card and you'd use a credit card for that when boarding. I still have 27 days to go til our Explorer cruise, have fun!

Donna, I have tried to book our excursions thru this site and our cruise leaves on the 2nd of April, a msg. indicating that we will be able to book this cruise excursion in April. We will be in Miami in April. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Marjmy,
No, you are not doing anything wrong, I get the same message. Wondering if the site just isn't taking bookings until April?? I will certainly give it a try once April rolls around, just a few days :-) Sorry, it will be too late for you, just book as soon as you can, have a wonderful time, lets hear about it when you get back.
