Default what to do in ocho rios

Is the Dunn River Falls worth doing? Do you need special shoes? How long does it take? Can you do it alone or do you need a guide?

Is there anything else to do there other than keep away from the street people?

Bhw, the Dunns River Falls are worth it, I have been there twice, bring you a pair of aqua socks, if you dont you will have to rent a pair, and yes you can take a taxi to the falls and dont have to book thru the ship.it takes about an 1 1/2 to walk the falls...

Hi Bhw,
Have to agree with Timmy, you should do the "falls". You can either do it through a ship excersion or just grab a cab at the pier. They do guide you through the falls and you can either bring along some old sneakers from home or rent, buy some water shoes. I think you can rent them right there for $5. Have fun.

Bhw,
Dunn River Falls is a must when you go to Ocho Rios! If you choose to book through your cruise line the photogrophers take pictures of you at different parts of the climb. How the heck they know who is who I'll never figure out. Make sure you buy a waterproof camera. Those one-time cameras work pretty good and if you buy them before your trip it will cost you less. The guides on the Falls tour will take your pictures with your own camera. At the end of your climb beware of the merchants and the "braid-ladies" they are very pushy.Bhw wrote:
