What is the best choice for snorkeling? Can we go out on our own?

Turn right where the tender drops u off. Walk just a short ways and u'll come across Eden Rock. Easy to do on your own.

If you haven't done stingray city you should really think about doing that. It was one of the best shore excursions we've ever done. I screamed the whole time but it was such a terrific experience. I think you can do it thru the ship or on your own. Try to get there on the earliest trip ie 7.30am as the later you go the more the sand has been disturbed by peoples feet and the water can become very unclear.
