Default Star Princess Coastal Port Arrangements

Would appreciate information regarding the one time California
coastline cruise on Princess Star May 4,02. We will have port calls after leaving Los Angeles including San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Monterrey, Seattle, ending the cruise in Vancouver. I am aware that there are docking facilities in San Diego and Vancouver, but would like to know if all others will be tendered or do they have facilities for this large ship?

We were on the Norwegian Sky last April and docked in San Francisco. Easy two block walk to Pier 39 shopping and dining, as well as to the Alcatraz excursion area (but book fast -- it filled up quickly!)

Also, in San Diego (where we live), you can take the trolley out to Old Town, which makes for a great excursion at minimal cost. All day trolley tickets were $5 each. Just take the complimentary shuttle to Horton Plaza from the ship, then walk up to the trolley stop at 5th Avenue. We had never been on the trolley and had a fab-o time. Also, when you're done, just get off at the Santa Fe train depot and it's a 2-3 block walk back to the ship.

Hope those two tips help.

Oops, and saw the Seattle stop. Yep, nice terminal/dock there, too. (Bring a travel umbrella!). They have free bus service downtown. We did the Underground Tour ($9 each), which was interesting and got to see lots of downtown.
