We will be on the Golden princess on our honeymoon , and would like to go to Orient Bay.
We don't have an idea where Orient Bay is in relation to where the ship stops.
Would it be failrly easy to get to on our own, and how would be the best way to get there.
Thanks in advance!
Its really very easy to get to Orient Beach on your own. Simply get a cab at the pier, its about a 20/30 minute drive out to the beach. You can either have the same driver come back at a certain time, or just get another cab when you are ready to get back to the ship. There are plenty of cabs just waiting around there, its a huge beach, lots of activities, places to eat, etc.
We are going to be on the Golden this Saturday. The last time we were in St. Maarten. We just grabbed a taxi at the dock. We asked for a tour of the Island. He took us all over the Island including Orient Beach. He also stopped on the French side and let us walk around all the outdoor cafes, shops, and the harbor. I is beatiful. I think for four of us the entire Island tour came out for a total of $45.00.
We were there a few years ago and we just grabbed a taxi to take us. There was 6 of us and i think it cost about $25-30. The same cab driver picked us up when it was time to go. You just tell them the time and they are there waiting for you. It takes about 20-30 minutes from the port. hve fun and enjoy !!
