Going on the Constellation in Dec. out of Puerto Rico, heading to Antigua, Barbados,
St. Thomas, St. Lucia, St. Criox. 7 day trip, different port every day. First time cruise. I've heard the Jolly Roger in Barbados is wild! probably will be doing that. What are some of the better excursions to take on these islands? We'd like to try Snuba/snorkel, maybe some watercraft rentals ( wave runners if possible), sun bathing on beaches, and shopping. Anyone have good points of view on each island as far as things to do and see are concerned?
On most of these ports, you can take a taxi to places/beaches on your own; heading to Antigua - a taxi to see the fort and Nelson's dockyard is great. Then ask the driver to leave you off at any one of 356 beaches and return for you at a set time. Barbados - a taxi van can take you to Harrison's Caves but you did mention the Jolly Roger which I am sure will be lots of fun. St. Thomas - you may wish to book a ship's tour to St. John to include time at Trunk Bay for sun & snorkeling or on the Champagne Catamaran tour if that is offered. St. Lucia - I highly recommend the ship's all day tour of Land & Sea. You will visit the volcano, sulpher springs, Diamond Falls then have a wonderful native lunch including beverages. You will board a boat to tour from the sea viewing the Pitons and stopping to swim at Marigot bay. Of course the land or sea portion may be switched due to the amount of people who sign up for this great tour. St. Criox - I have not been there and thought that port was eliminated from itineraries. It could have been on RCI ships. I recommend that you vary your tours and activity plans so you get a great sampling of things to do in various islands.
