family beach St. Martin?
I am looking for a nice family beach (clothing required) on St. Martin. Any recommendations?

Re: family beach St. Martin?
There is nice, rather quiet medium sized beach on the Dutch side called Dawn Beach. It's near Oyster Bay on the map. (There are many boats moored nearby and a timeshare next door.) It's just a few dollars from the port for a cab ride that takes about l5 min. (We gave our cabbie a time to return for us and didn't pay him when he dropped us off. It later began to rain, and he showed up a bit early to get us due to the rain!) This beach is near the french border but everyone there wore swimsuits and no one was topless (though you must be prepared for this EVEN at some of the beaches on the Dutch side, though it isn't prevalent. It also isn't as shocking or disrupting as you might think if you've never been to a topless beach before.) Dawn Beach has a nice reef within several yards of shore for snorkeling. There is an open air, casual sit down bar/restaurant (good food, too!) on the beach, as well as a snack stand w/ hot dogs, etc. Here you can also rent beach chairs and snorkeling equip. The beach is free. But if you want to use the restrooms, the only ones are at the sit down restaurant (open air) and you have to be their customer. They really do pay attention to this, too. By the way, you can see St. Bart's in the distance. When we were there once someone told us that this house above us on a hill had just been sold by Bill Gates to - I think it was - Sylvester Stallone! Don't know if that is/was true, but it's an interesting side note!
