Amsterdam Shore Excursion

Hi,
We have 4 adults from Toronto Canada arriving on the Oosterdam Sun Sep 21 7am-6pm
We are looking for a very knowledgeable english speaking guide with a car/van comfortable for the 4 of us to give us an exiting tour or Amsterdam.
Please reply with year and make of car and your proposal for the tour.

Re: Amsterdam Shore Excursion

Hi Lutz,

We did Amsterdam on our own, and it was great. Our ship docked about a 20 minute walk from all the major sights, and the ship ran a shuttle. We used the walking tours on www.frommers.com and did the canal boat tour from the main train station, near the location where the ship docked. We also took a taxi to the Anne Frank house, and I hope you do not miss that, and the Van Gogh museum. It was a lot to see in one day, but I'm glad that we did because it was a great day, and we didn't have to choose. I hope you have a great time.

I must agree with Donna. Seeing Amsterdam on your own is easy. People are friendly and speak English. You will see a good cross representation of this major city if you can take in the canal boat tour, the Ann Frank house (get there as early in the morning as possible opens at 9 a.m.) you could take a taxi to it then get the canal boat tour or visit a museum.
Bon Voyage
