Default Grand Cayman Stingray Tours

We plan on visiting Grand Cayman in Setember on HAL. Any suggestions on the HAL shore excursions vs. the private operators and which of the private guys is best?

Capt. Marvin, Brian, Nativeway, Bob Soto cruises?

Hi,

I've done Stingray City twice. First time was on a double decker - fun but crowded. Second tour was the BEST....Cockatoo Catamaran. It was tour from the ship (Carnival) and I'm not sure if it can be booked privately. The Cockatoo is a racing catamaran. Real fun crew. Limited number of people. They try to make sure everyone gets to hold a stingray. They do an awesome underwater video, on board shots, plus everyone with the stingrays.Video is available to purchase ($40).

Hope this helps.

we used capt. bryans and it was the best. a catamaran with only about 15 people 1/2 day trip about 4 hours was only $32.00 that did NOT include lunch or any beverages, but we went to 3 stops , the aquarium, stingray city, and coral gardens.
go have fun

I agree with Jo....CAptain Bryans is the way to go. The catamaran can't be beat!

We used Captain Marvin and had a great time. Just remember you need to allow extra time because you will be tendering in at Caymen

Nativeways all the way!! Cheapest - $25. Small, easy access boats. Had a blast! I highly recommend them.

Just wanted to make a note - put on your suntan lotion AFTER you have been w/ the stingrays - our boat crew said the lotions are not good for them. You will love this excursions - they are like velvet & even tho' I held the food the wrong way once & was bit - it was nothing - like being pinched.
