Default Godfrey Tours in St. Thomas

My family's first cruise is Dec 28. It sounds like Godfrey Tours is the way to go in St. Thomas but as first time cruisers I'm nervous about booking an excursion on our own. With 5 in our family I'm trying to keep the cost down to something reasonable and Godfrey seems really reasonable. Anyone cruising before Dec 28 and booking a tour with Godfrey, would you let us know how it went? Do his tours fill up?

Terry D.

My husband and I will be sailing Carnival Glory 11/29 thru 12/6. This is our third cruise and our first time to book our own excursions. From everything I've read (from posts on this website) on Godfrey Tours, it is a very good tour for the price. I'll post a review about the Godfrey Tour upon our return.

We were on the inspiration two years ago and booked our own tour in Jamaica. I know it sounds nuts but that tour in Jamaica was amazing. If you have read lots about this Godfrey guy, you probably don't have much to worry about. I would make sure I'm back about an hour before the ship is due to sail and you should be fine. I don't think Godfrey would want to screw up on a tour, this is how he makes a living. If he wasn't a good guide, he would be out of business by now. Have a great trip, please let me know how it went.

You can go to Godfrey Tours website and e-mail him any questions. He is very prompt with his replies. Below is the information he sent me when I booked our tour. Hopefully, this will help you.

This is Godfrey, the tour we provide is best of St.Thomas but we dont leave
until 12noon from downtown shopping area. what we do frist in the
morning, we pick you up at 10 or 11am ship time, take you into downtown shopping
frist, then to see the while Island and then back to the ship. if you
wish to swim or snorkel, you have a choice of Magens Bay, Coki Point or
Sapphire Beach for [2] hours and then back to the ship. if you only want to see
the Island, the tour is from 12noon to 2pm and if you wish to swim or
snorkel, well the tour is from 12noon to 4pm. at the end of the trip, all it
cost per person is $20.00 dollars and you pay at the end of the trip.

Does Godfrey also take you to Coral World? We want to do an island tour, an hour or so at the beach, and then Coral World. There will be 6 kids (9 and under) with us. Will he make us our own tour?

We did Godfrey last year and just loved it. The best tour we had all week. Actually a group of us are going again this week and again they booked Godfrey.
