Traveling on the Glory the week of 2/14 and was wondering what the beaches were like in Progreso. Just looking for someplace for my family to relax and snorkel for the day. Any other suggestions or ideas about the port would be appreciated.

The beaches at Progreso do not compare with those in the Mayan Riviera/Cancun area. There is nothing to see if you snorkel. (Except if you go to the Mayan ruins at Dzbilchaltun where there is a small cenote with limited but pleasant snorkeling). Personally I would take an excursion to Mayan ruins (Chichen Itza or Uxmal) or to the city of Merida.
