Default Snuba or Snorkeling

We are stopping at St. Thomas on our cruise in August. I have two boys, agessz 12 and 15. Does anyone have opinions on whether a sail/snorkel or snuba would be? I am steering more towards the snuba but would love someones elses thoughts if you've done it before...

My wife and kids did the snuba thing in Hawaii last July. I did a scuba dive along with them. They seemed to have a really good time. Personally I find snorkeling to be way too restrictive. Who wants to stay stuck there on the surface when all the pretty fish are down below swimming around the coral.
