Costa Rica shore excursion recommendations

Curious if anyone has taken the shore excursion from Limon Costa Rica to the capital city of San Jose. We are going there on Princess, but sure it would be the same excursion probably set up by many of the other cruise lines.

Any information or feedback would be appreciated.

We did the RainForest Ariel Tramway while in Costa Rica. Very enjoyable but the trip there was about 2 hours. Interested ride though. Worth the money. Very knowledgeable tour guide.

Kuki - Wow that looks like fun, but kind of scary! Had any of you been white-water rafting before?? Do you need any experience?? Did anyone fall out?? I'm asking all these questions because were looking at where to book our next cruise and are thinking about going white-water rafting. I know my husband would like it, but I'm a little scared! I don't want to fall out! I have no experience. Do you have a guide?? Did you book this excursion through the ship??

Kim.. I'd never been white water rafting before, and that was the case with all but 3 people on our raft; a friend, Mrs Kuki and the guide <G>

I was close to not going.... since I'm basically a chicken. , but because we were going "as a group" I decided to put aside my fear, and go for it!

It was a BLAST.. and we didn't lose anyone from our raft. Aside from the guides, they had individuals in kayaks on the river as "safety officers", in case someone did fall out of a raft.

Put aside your fears and try it. You won't be sorry!!

Thanks I think I will try it! You reassured me when you said there where rescuers in the water in Kayaks! Did you book the Whitewater Rafting excursion through your ship??
Usually they are pretty safe!
