I am a diver but my new wife is a beginner swimmer, so what is the best types of top-water flotation available for beginner snorkellers? She needs help to take the fear-factor away. We are going on the RCI west/carbe cruise and I will appreciate any help and comments. Thanks, Jim M. Houston TX.
Yes, I have. In fact, I just got back from a cruise Thursday. I used them to book a snorkeling excursion in Cozumel. They were the only ones who would take my son who was 5 years old. I would recommend them very highly. We did the Trimarran(mispelled) snorkel. They even dropped us back off at the pier when we were through and saved us $12.00 on a Taxi ride!!!
I believe they also offer the "fresh air" snorkel. It allows you to dive down to deeper depths and your long tube of air goes to the surface where there is a fresh air tank of some sort. I did not do this, but our snorkel guide and captain told us about it. It seemed like the best thing to do to see the sites under water up close!
