Taxi to Chankanaab???

Hi was wondering of anyone has taken a taxi from the peir to to Chankanaab Marine Park ? If so how much was it ? I'am trying to price out the Dolphin swim on our own versus paying the cruise line prices . Thanks in advance!

Tom -

Haven't been there yet but from what I've read on average it costs $10-$12. Everyone says to agree on a price before you get into the taxi. As a general rule I've found the excursions are a little cheaper to book on your own. I booked by swim through cozumelinsider.com. They had several options at different prices. Good luck and happy cruising!

We just got back today from our cruise and did take a cab from Punta Langosta pier to Chankanaab Park to do some snorkeling. A cab (regular car) that can transport no more than 4 passengers costs $10.00. If you have more they take you in a van for $15.00. Very easy to get a cab from the pier and back and then back from the park. Ride is only 20 minutes. Park is beautiful and has everything you need such as clean bathrooms, restaurant, etc.

You are smart to do this trip on your own as many people said it was much cheaper to do this way than through the cruise excursion. We certainly saved a lot of money doing the snorkeling on our own with the cab.

We booked our dolphin swim through dolphindiscovery.com and it was wonderful. Much cheaper than through the ship, and easy to do on our own. It was the best thing we did on the whole trip and well worth the price.

Looking for something to do in Cozumel for 3 ladies, middle-aged, but traveling with a 23 yr. old who loves to snorkel, etc.? Going the 7th of June on Enchantment of the Seas from RC. Read a lot of this place, and also Serenity at Beach Club? Suppose to be a beach with everything there through Shoretrips.com. Anyone have any good info or ideas please let me know. Thanks
