We are traveling on the Triumph 05/15/04---western caribbean-Cozumel,
Grand Cayman and Ocho rios. We are traveling with our 12 yr old son and 4 yr old daughter. Any suggestions or words of wisdom for our shore excursions. This is our second time cruising--first was on the Grandeur of the Seas--eastern caribbean.
Just hoping to for us all to have a good time without overwhelming our daughter--her first real big vacation. She has no idea what to expect, but she has more energy than all of us, but I'm thinking that some of the excursions seem to take a long time ex.(ruin tours). I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!!!
Grand Caymen - an encounter with the Sting Rays is a must - you and your kids will love this experience. We personally used Captain Marvin and thought he was great. Make sure your tour goes to the sand bar this is where you get "up close and personnel" with the rays. They are amazing creatures, you can pet and feed them if you wish or just watch them swim around you.
Cozumel - i agree that a trip to the ruins is a bit much for the younger kids, unless they are totally into that type of history. Spend the day at the beach---- Playa Del Sol, Channunkaab National Park, Mr. Pancho's are all great places to hang-out , relax, have some fun, do some swimming, snorkeling, swim with the dolphins ( Channunkaab Park)
Jamaica - take a tour with Peat Taylor(he's great) that includes a stop at Dunns River Falls, - great fun, beautiful waterfall.
