Default Snuba - St. Thomas- Coki or St. John- Trunk Bay

Has anyone done the snuba in St. Thomas or St. John? If so, what is your opinion on the best spot to go. We are traveling with two boys, ages 12 and 15 and want to keep them busy....

Go to st john -the snorkelling on st thomas is garbage - very cloudy water - dont go to Magen Bay - crowded and very unfriendly beach staff.
