Hi Goldie,
In Grand Cayman, I'd suggest doing a Sting Ray City excursion, great fun and one of the best ones in this area of the Caribbean. A good idea is to purchase an underwater camera at home, once there you'll pay twice the price.

I second the vote for Stingray City - you absolutely have to do that - consider using Nativeways - they were excellent and cost was only $25. Although I wasn't travelling alone, I did book a carnival 2-hour snorkelling excursion on my own in Cozumel. It was great and left lots of time for shopping. Hope this helps!

Sting Rays are the way to go in Caymen.
Cozumel - depends upon what you like to do. If you are into snorkeling or want to give it a try - then book a ships excursion to the Palencaar Reef - amazing! If you want to just hang out at the beach, do some snorkeling, maybe take in a Dolphin swim ( book in advance) then grab a cab to Channunkaab National Park. If you want more of a "party" beach with good food/drink and lots of water toys ( water tramp) then check out Mr. Sancho's. Playa Del Sol is also a great beach. If you are into Mayan ruins then book a tour to the ruins @ Tulum.

Thanks!!!! This helps a lot !!! I probably will leave the ruins alone - saw a lot of them while in Belize, but the beach sounds like a winner! (dolphins :-)
