I am a hard core diver and was convinced to go on a family trip by my parents. I plan to do some diving while on the trip but, where am I going to store/dry my equipment? In the small state rooms? I can smell that already! Any Suggestions?
I have done plenty of diving while on different cruises and have always taken my own gear (kind of trust thing I guess). What I always do it rinse it thoroughly immediately after diving - typically at the dive shop or dock. I take my time if possible and allow it to air dry quite a bit before taking it back on board the cruise ship. Since I like taking Caribbean cruises, this usually works quite well with all the sunshine.
On a couple occassions, I had to take my gear back while it was pretty damp so I hung and placed all of my gear into the cabin's shower stall after I took my shower and simply let it dry while I was eating dinner for the evening.
Something to be aware of, do NOT take your dive knife on the trip - you will have it confescated and may or may not be able to get when you disembark.
Enjoy your dives - I know I will in just a few weeks!!!
