Green Grotto Cave in Ocho Rios
I have posted this question under Royal Caribbean message board also:

Has anyone taken the Green Grotto Cave Tour offered by RCI at the Ocho Rios, Jamaica port-of-call?

Specifically, is it worth the 45 minute drive there and back? I've been in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky, which was spectacular. My teenage kids haven't been in a "real cave" and am wondering if it might be something they would enjoy. Does the driver or tour guide make the ride there interesting? Do you get to see the underground lake?

The Cave tour is followed by Dunn's River Falls, which they climbed last cruise. I was looking for something new and different for the kids.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I have done a self tour to the caves. You can even take a quick dip in the water (well, this was about 10 years ago). There is a refreshment stand in the caves where you can have a sip of rum punch and listen to some reggae music.
The history is why you should visit.

Thank you for answering my question.

We are still considering taking this shore excursion. This way the kids can see more of Jamaica than just the pier and beaches.
