I will be sailing on the Sovereign in April, and wanted to swim with the stingrays. Has anyone been on this excursion through the ship? I would like to know if I should book through the ship, or use an outside vendor. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I'm not sure if this is the right one or not, but last year while in Nassau we went to Blackbeard's Cay and did the stingray snorkel and beach thingy.
We went to the beach and spent about 3 hours, the snorkeling was good, there were
lots of stingrays, but is in a sectioned off area on the side of the beach area. We snorkeled for a while, got lunch at the little "hut" which wasn't too expensive, laid out in the sun for a while and then snorkeled some more.
Would you recommend this for kids 9 & 12? Did you say the stringrays were at one side only? Please tell me more. We loved swimming with the stringrays in Grand Cayman and would like to share it with the kids! Thanks
We did the Stingray shore excursion on Pearl Island in Nassau, and it was fantastic! There were kids on our tour and they had a blast with the stingrays and finding starfish and sea urchins. You can also relax on the beach afterwards. Lovely time!
