Default fish food

Just a suggestion for the budget minded. Instead of buying those pre-packaged fish pellets at $5 a pop, hubby loaded his pockets with free kernal corn from the buffet table.
The fish loved it, and we have spectacular underwater photos to prove it.

We've also used dry cereal from the breakfast buffet.

please do not use corn, not only is it illegal in most places but it does not digest and could cause harm or even death to the fish.

Archie, I hope you have credible documentation to back up your claims, not only is corn listed as an ingredient in marine and tropical fish food at any pet store so is wheat, soy, rice, and many other ingredients I have never heard of.

Yes corn is an ingredient but Corn is not a digestable food. it does have good nutrients in it but even humans cannot digest corn. with kernal corn it is too big to go through their system

We were told by some locals in Aruba (Baby Beach) that bananas were OK and we also fed some bread to the fish. Now I'm wondering if this was the wrong thing to do?
