Fort Lauderdale-post cruise excursion

Our flight home isn't until late in the afternoon. If we do an excursion after our cruise, what do they do with your luggage?

When we did the Everglades excursions our luggage was kept down below on the bus with us according to which airline/terminal. We kept only our carry ons with us inside the bus. Great way to pass the time before a late flight, also kept the vacation lasting longer. Enjoy.

Sorry for the duplicate post I already posted in another thread before I realized this more specific one was here. When you are on the excursion do your carryon's remain in the 'locked' bus? I have a cpap machine and expensive camera equipment I am concerned about.

Two years ago we took a excursion because we had time to kill- big mistake. I am sure there are wonderful tours out there but this wasn't one of them. We went on a short airboat ride and at any time we could have swam to to shore. We have taken airboat rides before and also toured the Everglades and this was definitely substandard. The next part of the tour was a tour to a wildlife park which was just depressing. It was more like a poor roadside attraction. The animals were in small cages. The restrooms were not only dirty but needed repairs. One door was off the hinges and hinges were rusty and corroded. We felt so strongly about this excursion that we notified Celebrity and asked them to send a representative on this tour. I cannot believe that they would sell this tour if they actually knew what it was like. The Everglades are spectacular and it might be worth your effort to rent a car or find a tour that will take you into the National Park. Let me know if you have any more questions.
