Cheap Egypt Tour

I have contacted several Egyptian tour companies from the Egyptian tourism website and have received MANY responses regarding a day trip to Cairo. I have been quoted as cheap as $70-80 per person in a private vehicle including all entrance fees and a free lunch.

Has anyone else had great luck with an Egyptian booked tour compared to the extremely over-priced cruise excursion? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I would like to know especially names of a tour company you would recommend.
