What to do in Costa Maya?

Anyone been lately and have suggestions? We will be traveling with two or our kids, age 14 and 10.

I would go to the beach at Majahual (sp). Its about 2 miles from the port. You can get a cab (approx. $3) there or rent a golf cart ($15/hr) or walk (while some people did this it was way to hot for me and I wouldn't recommend it). There's a really nice beach there and you can rent waverunners, go for a banana boat ride, parasail, snorkel, etc. There are restaurants and bars along the beach. You can even get a massage right on the beach there. The vendors in town are a bit agressive, but once you get on the beach they don't bother you much. We've also been to Uvero beach and I think the beach at Majahual was nicer (and cheaper).

We were there a few years ago on the Grand Princess and took the dune buggy tour that was offered from the ship. It was a great time! Hubby drove while the rest of us hung on for quite the ride! Took about an hour and ended up on a beautiful beach where lunch was served and we got to play in the water for a while. Took a different route back that was a real eye opener too. Went thru a small village that was extremely poor, but every person came out to give us a wave and a smile. I'd do this tour again in a heartbeat.
