I will also be on the Sensation in March- the 4th thru the 8th. I have been to Nassau many times but never Freeport. I went to Nassau at the end of February two years ago and we went snorkeling. I wouldn't say the water was warm but it was bearable. My boyfriend stayed in for over an hour and was fine. And we also went to the Atlantis, on our own. It really depends on what all you want to do while there as far as if excursion or own your own is a better value. I hope this all helps! I posted a topic in the Carnival section about Freeport activities, hopinjg I get some responses there!

If you're looking to fill a couple of hours in Nassau, check out the Ardastra Gardens. It is a small botanical garden and zoo very close to town. Be sure and see the "trained" flamingos!
