Default Saving money/Shore Excursions vs. taxi in Ocho Rios/Caymans

Just in case kids wear out quick, can we take taxi to Turtle Farm and 7-mile Beach after we do Sting Ray Sand bar? What do taxis avg. pp? The full exursion for all of these stops is $69 pp/4 people. Is this a bargain compared to the taking taxi after we leave stingrays? What about Ocho Rios? Is is just as great taking taxi to Dunn's River or should we just do shore excursion?

THANKS!!!

With kids, I would definitely do ship's tours. You will have a bus load of your fellow passengers, at least a few of whom will be keeping an affectionate extra eye on your kids. Jamaica is one of my favorite places, but it can be rough. Dunn's River Falls is pretty challenging physically. Don't know how old your kids are, but I would be reluctant to take kids under 14 yrs old or so. Just my input.

Thanks a bunch!! Good to know. Yeah, kids are 12, 10, 2 & 3. We plan to just have the older 2 get off ship in Jamaica/Dunn's R. and do the Stingray Sandbar in the Caymans with the whole family.

You might want to check about the younger 2 for the Sting Rays. I love that tour, but the water was about shoulder height on adults. They may not allow the little ones.

Default Dunn's Falls

When in Jamaica, we hired a person call Peat Taylor. He is on line. He gave us a great tour--brought us to Dunn's River Falls--brought us on a real fun and safe River Tubing ride.

My favorite excursion of all time. He was very reasonable also.
