Default Nice beaches in San Juan?

On our next cruise, we will be San Juan, PR all day and was wondering if there are any nice public beaches we can go to.

There aren't any public beaches near the pier in Old San Juan, but if you get to one of the hotels in the newer San Juan, they have beach access. Its possible there is an excursion to a beach.

What other islands will you be visiting, some have great beaches and you may want to do something else in San Juan??

We've been to San Juan before and have done the rum factory tour and visited El Morro. Since we'll be there all day next year, we thought we'd just grab a taxi and hit the beach.

Me and my DH have been to San Juan twice, in October it will be our 3rd time.....and we always fly in the day before our cruise. If you are looking for a nice beach, you will want to go to the New side of San Juan the street you want to look for is Isla Verde this is where all the hotels are that are located beach-front, and you can access the beach without being a guest at one of these hotels. Happy Cruising!

I would say it's only about 15-20 minutes from where the ship docks....but it's a must see beach, because they have resturant/bars on the beach that you can walk up to if you want a cocktail while laying out in the sun.
