Default Snorkeling on Coco Cay

I am taking my niece on a cruise in June for her 21st birthday. She wants to snorkel, and was looking into renting the equipment through RCL on Coco Cay. Has anyone done this, and if so, how is the snorkeling on Coco Cay?

Thanks,
Angie

Hello! if this is her first time, this would be a great place to start.....calm water, nice beach, non-threatening for a beginner. I was there in 2003, so things may have changed, but the snorkeling was pretty good as far as private islands go. Usually they are not known for their snorkeling. But it was better than HAL's island. If I recall, they did offer guided trips/excursions or you could just rent the equipment and do it on your own. THere are sunken planes and a cannon that make for interesting viewing. I don't recall pricing on anything, we have our own equipment. It will be a wonderful day for you!!! CocoCay is a beautiful island and RCL/Celebrity have done a great job making it a special day for their passengers.[/b]

Default Coco Cay snorkeling

My family and I are Floridians and avid snorkelers. We've been to Coco Cay twice and it has fabulous snorkeling right off the beach. It's one of our favorite spots. We have our own gear, but you can rent gear on the island. Enjoy!

Snorkeling at Coco Cay is quite good actually, I'd do it. Be sure to watch when they go out and feed the fish, you'd want to be around the area then, you'll see tons of fish.
