Default Your best underwater adventure!

I'd like to hear about your best underwater adventure! I'm going to the Western Caribbean with Carnival in May and we're stopping at Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. I really really want to explore underwater whether it be snorkeling or scuba diving. Actually, I really want to learn how to scuba dive but it seems like you spend all your time learning and only 20-30 minutes diving! Also, I'm not sure which of the 4 places to do it in!

If I were to learn scuba or snorkeling which place is the best/prettiest site to do this? Did you go with Carnival's exursion or book some other place on your own? Is there a website that you booked your scuba experience with that you would recommend? Is beginners scuba better than snuba or snorkeling with a power unit? Are there any other excursions in these 4 destinations that's a must see/do? Sorry for the 21 questions!

If you really want to get certified for SCUBA your best bet would be to do everything but your open water dives at home, and do your open water dives on the cruise saves time and money. If you just want to try to SCUBA dive then any of the intro to SCUBA shore excursions offered by the ship would be fine, all your ports are very good SCUBA/snorkeling ports

One of the best underwater tours we've ever done was the bubble sub in Grand Cayman. Its expensive, but worth it. You can check it out at www.bubblesub.com

Just another option is the Atlantis sub in Cozumel. You can get down to 100 feet without getting wet. 8)
