Default What is best to do in St. Thomas?

Is there any thing that is a must see? Or should we just do the beach? Also can you get to St. Johns on your own?

beach/snorkel shop. St.Thomas has some of the most beautiful beaches, go to www.vinow.com for info on beaches. Yes you can get to St. Johns Island on your own, it is so worth it. It requires a taxi ride from the pier to Red Hook Harbor then a ferry ride over to Cruz Bay then a taxi to the beach of your choice. The ferry is every hour on the hour so just budget your time. We beach in the morning, go back to the ship, drop off stuff, change out of beach clothes, grab a bite to eat on the ship and then hit the shops. If you want something else to do after you beach then i would suggest walking to the Paradise Point Tramway, that is if you dock at Havensight. The tram takes you up the mountain to a beautiful overlook with shops, and a beautiful botantical garden

Default St Thomas great tours

We loved the St Thomas Catamaran Snorkeling Adventure to St John and I think it a great tour. We've been to St thomas a few times and this was the best time ever as the boat was beautiful and the trip was fabulous!!!

If you decide to go to St. Johns, I recommend Trunk Bay. Very pristine, but with showers and restrooms, and a wonderful underwater snorkeling trail. The best!

I totally agree, Trunk Bay is absolutely beautiful, well worth the trip over to St. JOhn. Some good snorkeling and tons of fish and coral in the bay.

just another bit of info - yes Trunk Bay is gorgeous, but it is the destination for all the cruise ships tours, so it can get a bit busy and crowded. Cinnamon Bay is basically next door to Trunk, its is much more intimate and quiet. Its clean, has decent facilities and has a nice outdoor bbq restaurant. Hawksnest and Honeymoon are also very nice
