Default Port Canaveral - again

We will be in Port Canaveral as a stop (leaving from Baltimore). I see there are 2 different Kennnedy Space Center tours offered by Carnival. Has anyone done either one and is there really a difference? One lists an "up close" look at the launch pads and VAB. I am trying to decide if it is worth the much higher price.
Help please from the knowledgeable

We have taken two of three tours available at the

the Kennedy Space Center.

The best source of info is the Kennedy Space Center Website.

We took the "up Close " and the "Then and Now"

With up close they take you to the launching pads

for the shuttle . You also get to see the VAB and the

landing strip as well. The rest of the tour is the standard

Kennedy Space Center tour.

Usually the extra tours are small (approx 50)

We felt that both tours where more interesting then

just the standard tour.

We did an extensive article on Kennedy Space Center here:

http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/...ter-122607.cfm

I highly recommend reading it to see what you will see. The extended tours are very worthwhile. You do want to see the launching pads and especially the Saturn (moon landing ) area. I am not sure you need "behind the scenes" but you do want to get out to the larger grounds and not just stay in the visitor's center.
