Default St. Marten

We are cruising on Adventure of the Seas on RC in a few days. St. Marten is the only island where we have not pre arranged a shore excursion. ANy suggestions on what to do either on our own or through the cruiseline?

We did a ship excursion once, the Rhino boats, what a gas and you get to see some of the island you normally would not... Also, the America's Cup REgatta is a must do excursion. Its done right there by the ships.

We got a taxi last time we were there and went to Marigot on the French side. It was real nice because we could look around and not hurried along like on a boat excursion. We then came back to Phillipsburg and enjoyed the rest of our time there. If I remember right it cost $40.00 for the round trip for the 4 of us.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on an excursion, I might suggest taking the Water Taxi from the pier, $5 for all day back and forth to the beach in Phillipsburg. Nice beach, if crowded, and shopping is right there also.

We've also taken many bus tours to beaches in St. Maarten and St. Martin (French side), usually with lunch included, and they are great!
