Default Mexican Riviera with kids, large group

I am looking for info on what shore excursions would be recommended for a group of 4 adults and 7 kids (ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 11). We are sailing on the Carnival Splendor the second week of April (I know this is last minute!) to Mazatlan, PV, and Cabo. We are on a bit of a budget too.

Would love to know what you ended up doing at those ports! We are going in a few weeks on the same ship with a similar size group and age of kids. Your input is appreciated!

Better check with Carnival. Ship had a small fire in the engine room. Future sailings are likely cancelled.

Places must see in Riviera Maya: Tulum mayan Ruins, Caves, Akumal for snorkel, I suggest you hire a Van with driver for a day, google: dreamdays cancun
is a local agency that offers Van for whole day
from Cozumel you'll have to take a ferry, is about 30 min to famous Playa del Carmen (Italo -Euro -Mexican Village)
