Default Costa Cruise*excursion

Taking our first cruise in August from Venise to Santorini, Mykonos, Ismir... is it best to book an excursion for Santorini???
any suggestion???

If the ruins a Akotiri are open they are definitely worth seeing, but they have been closed for a few years now and I don't know when they will open.

otherwise just take the tram to Fira atop the hill and be sure to seek out the archeological museum. There you will see the original mural paintings that you see in souvenirs all through the Greek Isles, like "the fishermen."
