HELP!!! Sailing 7/9-RCCL Explorer to Bermuda/Carib.
I'm sailing on 7/9 to Bermuda/Caribbean(San Juan,St.Thomas,St.Martin) and looking for advice on shore excursions. I'm open to suggestions for booking thru cruise line or going at it on shore. I already have a 1/2 day snorkel trip at St. Thomas booked thru the ship. I've been to Bermuda,St.Thomas & a stop over in San Juan, although my girlfriend has never been to any of the islands. I've read that Bernards Tours on St. Martin are good ???
I know it's short notice but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you experienced cruisers in advance !!!
You may want to look into doing the America's Cup Regatta in St. Maarten, great fun and work too if you are up to that. Just be sure to have a little time to walk through town, some good shopping there too and nice friendly people that don't bug the tourists.
a lot depends upon your time frame on the each island. You are so close to your sail date that alot of the ships excursions may be sold-out, I am not sure but i think you can't even purchase them anymore, you will have to wait until you board.
Bermuda, do it on your own, the transit system in Bermuda is great, if you want to hit the beach and do some snorkeling then get to Horeshoe Beach, if you want something neat and different to do, take a tour of the underground caverns. You will probably have to choose one or the other, not sure if you could do both.
St. Maarten - if its not sold out already i highly recommend booking the Golden Eagle Catamaran sail thru the ship- this is a great tour, its beautiful, fun and relaxing all at the same time. Otherwise you might just want to hit the beach in St. Maarten - Orient Bay is one of the most popular of the beaches - grab a cab.
