Default Underwater Cameras

I dont want to spend a ton of money but is there an underwater camera that you have had good luck with? I know some of the cheapo cameras can be really blurry. I would love to get the waterproof case for my digital but that scares the crap out of me just thinking about it. So if anyone can recommend a good disposable UW camera, I would appreciate it. 13 days from sail [/img]

we have had really good luck with the Kodak ones, they are good for getting close up pictures of the coral and fisheys

I find the disposable ones to be wonderful provided its sunny, otherwise you get those dull pictures, so I now only use them when its sunny, great pics....Plus you are not spending a lot of $ for a camera you only use underwater, just MHO.

We used the disposable underwater cameras, too. I think I paid about $10 a piece for them. There was a trick to using them.

1. Get closer than you think you need to be as images far away will wash out.
2. Have prominent features in the photo like people, fish or sunken treasure. This provides scale and contrasts w/ the water so photos won't get that blurred effect.

We got a few good pics from these cameras. But now that I know how to use them, I bet we could waste less film on pics that aren't worth keeping.

Good Luck!
