We were in Nassau a couple of years ago. We took a taxi from the ship around the island and then to Atlantis. He waiting on us and then took us back to the ship. I cant remember if we paid for the taxi before or after the return to the ship. We were thinking of doing it this way again when we go in November. I Know we decided on the price before getting in the taxi. I would think it will be on the return to the ship?
In ports, we negotiate the price before we get in the cab, then pay at the end. For one thing, it motivates them to wait for you. ALthough, most are really good about it. If we go over the time period we agreed to or get extra service, we tip them well. In Roatan last year, DH mentioned that I love wood carvings, so our driver took us to the home of a fabulous local artist. One of the most amazing things we have done on a cruise.
