Default Nassau with children

Been to Nassau twice. Seen Atlantis before kids, and The pirate museum after. Our 6 year old loved the pirate museum. We want to walk the town, do some shopping, buy some duty free alcohol, and conch fritters are a must do (hard to come by in South Carolina). But what else can we see? Is the Ardastra zoo worth it? We have a pretty good zoo here at home, and the Belize zoo was wonderful, I doubt Ardastra is as good as that. Walking tours safe? We don't like arranged tours and buses. Any suggestions?

Hope for a BIG ship in 2015! (heck with that, we'll take a small one for 2014!)

I'll look into that, sounds cool, but I'm sure it's pricey. I guess I need a taxi to go there or Ardastra zoo. Both are too far to walk. I'm not doing the straw market again. Too cramped and I don't like to be hassled and to haggle. I prefer the shops at the port and on bay street, prices are usually fair enough. My wife and I are walkers, but with my son, he will get tired, and sometimes you might pass through unsafe areas from location to location. The Dig sounds wonderful but I'd rather see something that is REAL Bahamas, we're going to Disney right after the cruise anyway. The Forts might be nice, no? My son enjoyed Castillo De San Marcos in St. Augustine after the last cruise.

Anyboday got prices for the Aquarium or the dig? OR are they the same thing? There is no pricing info on atlantis.com. I guess if you have to ask....
