Default Grand Cayman Turtle Farm

Hello everyone. My husband, stepdaughter and I are cruising to Grand Cayman in January. We are planning on visiting the Turtle Farm, but are only in port from 7a-330p. We want to do the entire park tour instead of just the turtle farm but are unsure of timing. I have checked other ships in port that day, and there are 6 total including us. We were planning on purchasing the tickets prior to cruising.

Any advice for those who have been to the Turtle Farm before?

Thanks in advance!

My wife and I have done the turtle farm excursion in the Cayman's. We actually did the whole tour but I don't remember how long it was. 3 or 4 hours I think. I really didn't want to do the turtle farm your because I thought it would be boring. To my surprise and delight it was VERY interesting. The turtles are very docile and you are invited to pick them up out of the water for pictures. One thing though, some of the turtles are huge but still mild mannered. The tour we were on also visited "Hell". There is a post office there and we sent our friends back home a post card from Hell. I recommend the tour. A different tour that I also found to be interesting was the Butterfly Farm. Enjoy.

Best way to do it is to purchase your tickets on their website; Cayman Turtle Farm | Colorful Marine Life Then when you get to Grand Cayman and get off the tender, walk about 2 blocks to the library, which is where the public transportation is. You can go anywhere on the island for $2.50 each way per person. So much easier than booking an excursion through the cruise line.

Just be sure to allow the extra time for tendering in Grand Cayman. You will need to be back onboard an hour before the ship leaves.
