Default San Diego departures

Why are there so few cruises leaving from San Diego ? Only one departure in Jan 2016. Are the dockage fees high ?
I love to cruise from SD,it's so easy.
Thanks,
Ed Klek

I guess the only reason is that Los Angeles is a bigger market so cruises sell better - but I agree with you, San Diego is fantastic port city. The airport is only 5 minutes from the port, and downtown hotels are also within walking distance.

You can even take the "Coaster" Amtrak train into San Diego and it lets you off about 5 minutes from the port - not many cities offer that.
