Default Food on Alaskan Cruise

Hi ,
We are booked on the Vision of the Seas doing southbound in June. Am wondering if they serve "Alaskan " food ie lots of salmon and halibut etc or is it the same type as what is served in the caribbean?

Default Re: Food on Alaskan Cruise

I have not done the Alaska cruise but I read on a board that they served a "reindeer stew" that was fabulous. They even put the recipe in the Princess newsletter! Reindeer is of course one of the regular meats eaten up north as they have to ship beef up there, cows don't do well that far north!!
