Default New Orleans Hotel

We are senior citizens looking for a reasonable hotel within walking distance of attractions or near a streetcar line. (french Market, Jackson Sq. Bourbon st.)

I recently stayed at the La Quinta on Camp street. Rate was 116.00 plus tax. Not a fancy hotel, but clean and efficient. They don't make a fuss over you. But it is 2 blocks from Canal St and the St Charles Streetcar and 4-5 from the Riverfront Streetcar. It turned out to be a good value.

You could try priceline or use your search engine just type new orleans they have hotels with prices that way also. I have had good luck with both was.
To check hotels priceline uses go to www.biddingfortravel.com it gives you a list of hotels and some good info on them.
Hope this helps.

We love "The Frenchman" which is in the Garden District just two blocks from the quarter. It is a very small guest house with a lot of old charm.

We won the Hyatt 3* just a few blocks from the St. Charles street trolley for $50 per night back in October. This is in the Business District. Hotel provides free trolley to the French Quarter and the Casino. We only used a taxi to evening restaurants and the port but both were very reasonable each time. Less than $10.
Bon Voyage
