On my last Carnival Cruise they had a game called Fun 21 in the casino. All the Queens in the decks are removed. This game greatly resembles Spanish 21. However I haven't been able to find a Basic Strategy for Fun 21, or what the exact odds are because it slightly differs from Spanish 21 and there is alot of information on that game. The rules are as follows:
Dealer hits soft 17 Split Aces allows hits Double after split allowed Early surrender against an A and 10. Double on any number of cards 21 is an automatic winner paying 1:1, a blackjack always paying 3:2 even against a dealer BJ. Anyway, anyone know of a basic strategy for this? |

Well the house odds in Spanish 21 is -2.1% out the gate, per my copy of Blackbelt in BJ, so Im gusessing its on par with that.
Id stick with plain BJ. Sorry I dont know of a BS for this or how to compute the real odds but dealers hitting a soft 17 really swings it in their favor let alone removing the queens. See here http://www.qfit.com/blackjack-odds-calculator.htm to calculate the odds with regular BJ. R

2.1%?? Where do you get that figure? The largest house edge I have seen for Spanish 21 is .76% which is where I believe this Fun 21 game is about.

Played "Fun 21" very successfully on my last Carnival cruise and like the fact that the game is dealt out of a shoe rather than the CSM's. The removed queens did not seem to make any difference as far as my basic strategy is concerned. The "Fun 21" table was always packed - a sign that people were making profits or at least not losing as much.
