Question Is a cruise a good idea?

Hi there,

I've never been on a cruise, but yesterday I decided it would be a great idea

I have a rough idea of what I want from the cruise, but I have no idea if this is realistic having never been on one...

- at least 7 days with a total spend of under £1,000
- to find a cabin buddy to go with
- spend the day between gym, pool, bar and anywhere I can just 'chill out'
- somewhere to play around on my laptop (wifi needed)
- meet new people on the cruise for a bit of socialising

Can someone tell me if a cruise is actually a good idea for me (based on the above)?

Any input on what a cruise is like would be greatly appreciated.

*Also, if you need a cabin buddy let me know!

Hi Stenzi,

Seems like a cruise would meet your needs, though wifi is usually an add on and not too quick. Many 7 say cruises will have a "seaday" where the ship does not stop in a port. This would be a good chance to chill out.

Stenzi, I think that you would enjoy a cruise. You should find a good travel agent who specializes in cruises. Sometimes there are some special where you get a really great deal.

I hope that you go and enjoy a cruise.

Some people stay connected quite a bit. As I said before some cruise lines include WI Fi in some cruises. I got that in my last two cruises.

I think traveling on cruise is perfectly suit with you. Your demands are all provided by the cruise standards

Don't worry about anything else, just getting along with what the cruise offers you.

Cruises are a good choice, you should be able to do everything you want. Pick the dates and area you want to cruise and run a search . No real reason to use a cruise agent, most travelers can find more information faster on their own.

But if you are not able to do google searches and are uncomfortable taking control and planning yourself call the cruise lines costumer service center they have complete information.

Of course, Cruise always a good idea for more excited vacations. Based on the things you asked like:

- at least 7 days with a total spend of under £1,000
- to find a cabin buddy to go with
- spend the day between gym, pool, bar and anywhere I can just 'chill out'
- somewhere to play around on my laptop (wifi needed)
- meet new people on the cruise for a bit of socialising

Contact a travel agent who can help you to find out the cruise that suits you.
