It's Tuesday!

Good morning. Everybody must be sleeping in or busy. Gonna be a hot one and probably a busy day for fire fighters, though I certainly hope not. It's very hot and very dry in SoCal. When the Dodgers start their game at 5 p.m., it could still be over 100.

I still plan to enjoy my meatball soup today . . .

A late good morning. after my shower I went to Publix and while there decided to make a beef stew for dinner, so after lunch I will start it.
Now they are saying that the high tomorrow will only be 75, but that is still warm enough or shorts, sleeveless top and of course flip flops.

I have been living in Florida for almost six years, but I still can handle cool weather. I wear shorts every day unless we are going to a really fancy place that has a dress code. I don't think that it actually gets cold in Florida at all. Cold is when the temperature drops below zero and the wind is blowing and you are walking on a sheet of ice.
Of course the worst part of the winter for me was seein Mrs. suffering from the cold.

Good afternoon, everyone.

Fall has finally arrived here in Minnesota. The temps are down in the 40's and the leaves have passed their peak and are now falling.

We have had the grandchildren since last Wednesday while their parents are at a Veterinarian conference in San Diego. They will go home tomorrow. Running them to and from school is a bit of a hassle since it's a 45 minute drive each way but it's worth it to have them with us.

We are also getting ready for our cruise on 11/11. It's a getaway cruise to Western Mexico, out of Los Angeles, on the Carnival Miracle. We have an aft wrap so it will be a good place for all of us to hang out. We are looking forward to it.

I hope all of you are doing well and I still can't believe that "The Mothership" hasn't shut down the site. It shows they are giving as much attention to it as they always have.

I have lived in FL since 1966 so when the temps get in the 50/60's I am wearing long pants, long sleeves, socks and regular shoes. It has been 51 years since I have been up North, I would never survive there now.

We did a cruise to Western Mexico a few years ago and we loved it. That was one of the best cruises that we have done.

Manuel, Keith says it's cold when the temp goes below 59! He's a spoiled Iowa boy and plans to stay that way.

This will be our third Western Mexico cruise. We did it because we are not Wintering in Mexico this year and friends wanted to go on a cruise. We have been to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta many times in cruise and non-cruise vacations. We'll be visiting other friends in Puerto Vallarta and showing our friends some of the better places to eat and see. We'll make sure we walk over to Wal-Mart from the ship and get a "reasonably" priced taxi. I can't believe how much they are inside the port area.

Mrs. TM was born in Kentucky and she grew up in Army bases in the Southern states and in Sunny Italy as well. She never liked cold temps but now with being older and having arthritis the cold is not good for her at all.


I can handle it quite well and it has to be down to the freezing point for the cold to bother me.
