Default cozumel beach prices

Planning on spending the day at a beach in Cozumel. Any estimates on how much money we will need for water activities-snorkeling, banana boat, wave runners, etc? Still deciding on which beach to go to. Any suggestions?

Loved Nachi Cocom for a relaxing beach day. For more activities, go to San Francisco beach. Nachi was free, but no water sports. Its just down the beach from SF.

I've heard good things about Paradise beach, located right next to San Francisco beach. No admission charge, just purchase food/drinks from them. They have a water trampoline, iceburg water climb, kayaks, snorkel equipment, float mats, chairs unbrellas, restrooms, and more. You can see a few pictures in the photo gallery here at Cruise Mates.

Seems like all of these beaches are close together, so get a cab from the pier ($12 - $14 each way) and try one of the free beaches first and if there isn't enough to keep you busy try San Francisco beach.

Better still take the ferry over to playa del carmen and get a real sandy beach for free.

But, won't taking the ferry cost money AND time both going and coming?

If you are coming in off a Cruise ship get to the Chanakaab National Park - only about a $6.00 cab ride and $10.00 to get in but it's the absolute best, you can rent snorkel gear for about $5.00 and snorkel right off the beach there, showers, etc. the works and the best for the price!

Does anyone know anything about the Catamaran excursion in Cozumel? We are considering this for the Glory, 3/04. Carnival does not list the name of the beach in it's discription. Thanks for any info.
